Reviewing Cape Town's long-term housing strategy using multi-model dashboard

Claus oversaw the development of the first long-term project pipeline responding to long-term needs and associated capital requirements. In addition to reviewing and modelling the land pipeline and housing scenarios, Claus worked with relevant City departments to develop an appropriate long-tern planning methodology and investment response considering funding availability, bulk infrastructure availability, and project readiness.  This work, under Claus’s leadership, led to the quantification of meeting long-term demand via government subsidised housing programmes, and critically, the resources required from market options over the long-term to meet supply constraints
